Online sales grew 15.1% in Q1 2016 (USD 86.3 billion) and accounted for 11.1% of retail sales when factoring out items not normally bought online.In 2015, ecommerce accounted for more than 10% of retail sales, without the sales of automobiles, fuel and foodservice. B2C ecommerce sales in the Netherlands are expected to reach EUR 18 billion in 2016, according to a report.

Ecommerce transactions up by 21% during 2015 holiday shopping season
From Thanksgiving to 31 December 2015, the number of ecommerce transactions increased by 21% on a year-over-year basis, while fraud attempts grew by 8%.
